Customer Service, Baggage Service Agent (Full-Time)

To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Customer Service Baggage Service Agent in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is attending to mishandled luggage. This role tracks and arranges luggage for delivery while assisting customers with special needs. The successful candidate will be able to successfully complete the Baggage Service Agent training course and be able to work outside in varied weather conditions. This position will report to the General Manager.Essential Duties:Track mishandled luggage and arrange for deliveryAssist customers with special needsWork as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectivesKeep company goals and customer expectations in mind when completing daily tasksJob Qualifications and Competencies:Successful completion of training courseAbility to work all shifts, all days including nights, weekends, holidaysAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsAbility to lift 70 poundsPreferred Qualifications:Previous airline experiencePrevious employment as a front-line customer service providerBasic knowledge of computer applications and programsWork Environment:Use of telephones, computers, and other office equipmentAirport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levelsAll shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shiftsPhysical Requirements:Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairsHandle objects up to 70 pounds regularlyAssist passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairsThe above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and are not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required for this position.
