Maintenance Technician II

Maintenance TechnicianInstalls, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.This is a full-time, third-shift position. Regular hours are Sunday through Thursday. Sunday hours are 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, and Monday through Thursday hours are 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.Essential Job Functions *Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; assembling and testing motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment.Perform general and preventative maintenance multiple production systems in and around the facility.Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment.Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment.Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.* This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Flexible able to quickly shift priorities as needed.Able to work from verbal and written instructions.Work Environment and Physical DemandsWork EnvironmentMaintenance: Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently.
