Please Note: This is a full-time, in-office position located in South Barrington, Illinois . Remote and hybrid work are not available. This position follows a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, providing predictable hours with no weekends required.

Our Customer Service (Track & Trace) team serves as the communication hub between customers, carriers, and our operations team, ensuring every shipment is monitored from pickup through delivery while delivering outstanding customer service.

Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative (Track & Trace) , you'll monitor shipments from pickup through delivery while serving as the primary communication link between customers, carriers, drivers, and our internal operations team. Your goal is to ensure every shipment is tracked accurately, customers stay informed, and any issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

This is a fast-paced position where no two days are the same. If you're organized, enjoy multitasking, and like helping people, you'll thrive in this role.

What You'll Do

• Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery
• Proactively communicate shipment updates to customers
• Contact carriers and drivers to obtain accurate shipment updates and identify potential delays
• Respond professionally to customer phone calls and emails
• Document shipment activity and customer communications within company systems
• Identify delays or service issues and coordinate timely resolutions
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics Account Managers, and other internal departments to ensure successful deliveries
• Prioritize multiple active shipments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Build positive relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams
• Assist with additional operational and administrative duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience
• Transportation, logistics, dispatch, or freight brokerage experience is helpful—but not required
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, or transportation management software is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
