Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Trillium Construction is seeking a Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic near Richmond, VA. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment & fleet vehicles Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components Complete work orders and document repairs accurately Coordinate repair priorities with the shop manager to minimize equipment downtime Perform emergency repairs as needed to support field operations Pay and Schedule Pay: Up to $30 Schedule: Mon - Fri, some Saturdays, 50h+ / week Qualifications 1-3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment (open to training) Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance programs Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Experience working on equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, rollers, and support vehicles preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-focused Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed Experience supporting construction fleets is strongly preferred, as F.G. Pruitt operates a large site-development fleet throughout the Richmond area Will most often be working on the following types of equipment: CAT, Deere, Komatsu, and Develon Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred Trillium is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
