Quick Facts Location: Fort Carson, CO Start Date: 09/07/2026 End Date: 11/30/2026 Shift: Monday–Friday, 0730–1630 (flexibility for nights/weekends if needed) Hours/Week: Up to 40 Employment Type: Contract Licenses/Certs: MD or DO from accredited institution, active unrestricted medical license, ECFMG cert., ACGME residency in Family Medicine Experience: Minimum 24 months of recent practice or training as a Family Medicine Physician Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $151.00 Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical coverage Paid sick leave Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program Dedicated support team committed to your success What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive primary care including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions Conduct physical exams, health assessments, and preventive care services Order, interpret, and coordinate diagnostic tests and referrals to specialists Educate patients on health maintenance, self-care, and healthy behaviors Supervise and mentor other healthcare professionals, including conducting educational sessions Ensure compliance with clinical standards and protocols Support military personnel, retirees, and families across multiple military treatment facilities What You Need Required: MD or DO from accredited U.S., Canadian, or approved foreign medical school with ECFMG certification Completion of ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency Active, unrestricted medical license Minimum of 24 months recent clinical practice or training as a Family Medicine Physician Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing) U.S. citizenship Preferred: Board certification by ABMS or AOA Experience in military or federal healthcare settings Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Additional certifications such as ACLS or BLS About the Assignment This opportunity involves working at multiple military healthcare facilities in Colorado, including the United States Air Force Academy, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever SFB, Buckley SFB, and Fort Carson.
