For more information, visit Responsibilities Support operations and electricians during ongoing plant operations including troubleshooting, equipment repairs and support during major turnarounds Lead the design and selection of electrical equipment considering factors such as safety, reliability, maintainability, cost and schedule Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes and regulations Apply industry codes and standards relevant to the chemical industry, such as NFPA 70, NEC, IEEE, and other applicable codes, in the design and evaluation of electrical systems and equipment Implement projects and process changes following Management of Change procedures Provide training on processes, process controls and changes to all levels within the department Provide on‑call process operations support coverage on a rotating basis Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required At least 1 year of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in chemical or petrochemical industry is preferred. Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to Electrical Engineering in the chemical industry preferred Experience troubleshooting instruments, controllers, PLCs and DeltaV DCS preferred Experience with SAP Maintenance preferred Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) preferred Strong communication and technical skills High degree of initiative Ability to contribute individually and as a leader in a team environment Please Note Eastman will not accept applicants for this offered position who require visa sponsorship, including those whose status is F-1 visa OPT who subsequently would require ongoing visa sponsorship.
