Suite 400 Hudsonville, MI 49426 Company: Proper Beverage Company Department: Production Reports To: __ Supervisory Responsibilities: __ Job Description The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations during their shift at our canned beverage manufacturing facility. This position requires a strong leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills, as well as a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a full‑time, 2nd shift position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11:30pm. Responsibilities Supervision Supervise and coordinate production activities, including the operation of packaging lines, filling machines, and other production equipment, to meet production targets and quality standards. Lead and motivate a team of production technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Strategic Planning Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime, making adjustments as necessary to meet changing demand and priorities. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members. Quality Control Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure product integrity and consistency, collaborating with quality assurance personnel to address any deviations or issues. Documentation Maintain accurate production records, including production output, downtime, quality metrics, and inventory levels, and prepare reports as needed for management review. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, minimizing disruptions to production schedules. Collaborate with other departments, such as planning, logistics, and quality assurance, to coordinate production activities, resolve issues, and implement improvements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. Foster a positive work environment characterized by teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect, addressing employee concerns and promoting professional development and growth opportunities. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Manufacturing experience, food and beverage industry is a plus. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop team members. Solid understanding of production processes and equipment, as well as quality control principles and practices. Excellent problem‑solving abilities and decision‑making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
