Hinckley is seeking a motivated and experienced Outboard Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing outboard engines, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity to work with a reputable marine company in a dynamic and growing industry. Responsibilities Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex electrical, fuel, and engine performance issues. Perform skilled tasks in the service, repair, and maintenance of outboard engines. Proficient in various outboard engines such as Mercury V12, Honda, Evinrude, Suzuki, and Yamaha. Calibrate and fine‑tune steering, throttle, and accessory systems. Maintain detailed records of services. Adhere to manufacturing safety standards and maintain a clean work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Strong understanding of sterndrive, outboard repair, and maintenance. Working knowledge of electrical diagnostic tools and software. Ability to troubleshoot problems with all types of equipment. Willing and able to educate oneself with OEM technical training/requirements. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Certifications: Yamaha, Mercury (V12). All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment. Work Environment Location: On‑site Conditions: Ability to work in various weather conditions with prolonged standing or stooping. Dust, dirt, fumes, vibration, noise, and chemicals may be present.
