About This Role

As the Director of Community Engagement and Marketing and a member of the Leadership Teams at Meals on Wheels Western Michigan, you will play a key role in advancing our mission through strategic communications, community engagement, advocacy, branding, and volunteer leadership. You will lead efforts to increase public awareness, strengthen community partnerships, engage volunteers, and cultivate organizational support, ensuring all initiatives align with MOWWM's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

In This Role You Will:

• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to establish and achieve organizational strategic goals.
• Develop and implement marketing, communications, and community engagement strategies that support organizational objectives.
• Serve as a key ambassador for MOWWM, building relationships with community partners, donors, volunteers, elected officials, and the public.
• Support advocacy efforts and engagement with local, state, and federal policymakers.
• Oversee public relations, branding, website management, social media, and content development.
• Ensure consistent messaging and brand standards across all communications.
• Support community and organizational events as needed.
• Lead, develop, and evaluate department staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitor and report department performance through established metrics and scorecards.
• Foster a positive organizational culture by working collaboratively with staff and volunteers.

Experience Preferred

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead a cohesive team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Website maintenance and social media platforms
