Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Take on a highly flexible, very part-time opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting elementary-age students in a school-based setting. This contract position is located near Arvada, CO, perfect for professionals seeking supplemental hours or a meaningful way to make a difference in children's lives with minimal time commitment. Provide expert physical therapy interventions for just 1 to 2 students at a single site, dedicating only one hour per week throughout the next school year, from August 21 to end of year.
What you bring:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Previous pediatric or school-based physical therapy experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP protocols, student progress documentation, and collaborating within educational teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to individualized, compassionate care
- Reliable and organized, adept at managing a very part-time caseload
Role responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and implement evidence-based PT interventions for elementary children with varying physical needs
- Develop and monitor student-focused therapy goals in alignment with IEP recommendations
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, families, and other school professionals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to support students’ educational experience
