Dioula Linguist for AI Model Training

Role Overview
Provide expert bilingual support in Dioula and English to produce high-quality transcriptions, timestamps, linguistic analyses, translations, and speaker intent/emotion annotations that train next-generation AI systems. This is a remote contractor role focused on accurate, nuanced language work rather than prior AI experience.
Key Responsibilities- Transcribe audio and video content in Dioula and English with fidelity to the source material.
- Create clear, precise timestamps for all transcribed segments to enable easy reference.
- Analyze and describe speakers ceremony of emotional tone and intent, including subtle nuances and nonverbal cues.
- Evaluate and critique grammar, syntactic structure, and tone in both languages to inform language model training.
- Define and explain conceptual meanings of words and expressions used in content to deepen model understanding.
- Perform complex language-related tasks, offering linguistic insights and corrective feedback as required.
- Collaborate with the customer’s team to ensure deliverables meet agreed quality and linguistic standards.
- Fluency in Dioula and English, with excellent written and verbal communication in both languages.
- Demonstrated experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving Dioula and English.
- Proven ability to capture and articulate emotionality, tone, and speaker intent from spoken content.
- Experience using transcription tools, with strong attention to detail for accurate timestamping and note-taking.
- Analytical skills to evaluate grammar and provide thorough language feedback.
- Remote work discipline and the ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Minimum commitment of at least 15 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in language research, applied linguistics, or education.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, or data-driven language projects.
- Familiarity with cultural and regional nuances relevant to Dioula-speaking communities.
- Engagement type: Contractor.
- Location: Remote work only.
- Minimum time commitment: 15 hours per week, delivering reliable, high-quality output.
- Pay range: $15 to $95 per hour.
- No prior experience in AI is required; domain expertise in Dioula and English is the priority.
