Our client is one of the largest providers of kidney care services in the United States, delivering high-quality care through outpatient dialysis clinics, acute hospital dialysis programs, and home dialysis services across multiple states. Because dialysis patients typically receive treatment multiple times each week over the course of many years, nurses have the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with both patients and their families while becoming an integral part of their healthcare journey.

What You'll Do

As a Dialysis Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, high-quality care throughout every dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing dialysis stations and reviewing patient assignments before treatments begin

• Performing comprehensive pre-treatment patient assessments

• Monitoring vital signs and reviewing medications

• Accessing fistulas, grafts, and central venous catheters for dialysis treatments

• Monitoring patients throughout their 3–4 hour dialysis treatments

• Managing fluid removal, blood pressure changes, and treatment-related complications

• Administering medications as prescribed

• Educating patients on medications, diet, fluid restrictions, and home care

• Reviewing laboratory results and maintaining accurate documentation

• Collaborating closely with nephrologists, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), dietitians, and social workers

• Supervising, mentoring, and supporting Patient Care Technicians

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a Compact Multistate RN License

• Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Schedule

Dialysis clinics offer a more predictable schedule than most hospital settings.

• Must be available to work Monday through Saturday

• Sundays are typically off

• Clinic schedules vary by location, with many shifts beginning early in the morning

• Candidates should be flexible and available to work any assigned shift based on clinic needs
