Charge Nurse – Long Term Care

Schedule: Varied day and evening shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Knowledge of IV therapy
• Experience in long-term care preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess the health status of residents and develop nursing diagnoses to inform care strategies.
• Create, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on assessments.
• Coordinate outside physician visits to meet residents' medical needs.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and family members regarding resident care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and maintain accurate documentation.
• Supervise nursing assistants to ensure adherence to care plans and facilitate a safe environment.
