- Apply customer payments accurately on a daily basis.
- Post electronic payments as needed.
- Process customer invoices and statements in accordance with established procedures.
- Process, post, and apply credit and debit memos.
- Communicate with domestic and international customers via phone and email regarding outstanding accounts.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness using available financial information, credit references, and commercial credit reports.
- Review customer orders to ensure compliance with established credit approval procedures.
- Review customer orders on credit hold and determine appropriate action prior to shipment.
- Organize and maintain records in accordance with document retention requirements.
- Communicate effectively with employees across all levels of the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and recommend enhancements.
- Provide backup support for accounts payable functions.
- Complete month-end accounts receivable activities.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Follow all workplace policies and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience obtained through education or professional experience.
- Working knowledge of office administration, bookkeeping procedures, general accounting principles, and relevant business software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.
- Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Results-driven with strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
