Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and compliance activities. This role is ideal for an experienced junior-level accounting professional looking to further develop their skills within a structured and collaborative accounting environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Complete accurate data entry related to financial transactions and accounting records
• Assist with compliance filings in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
• Prepare and file sales tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Review and assist with the approval of promotional accruals, ensuring proper documentation and proper accounting treatment
• Support general accounting functions and assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• SAP experience preferred

Work environment: Office

Physical demands: To successfully perform the duties of this job, the person is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. Lifting of product cases may also be required.
