Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in public accounting. You will work directly with experienced accountants and partners while assisting with tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, payroll, and client support.
Responsibilities- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns under supervision
- Assist with bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for business clients
- Prepare bank and account reconciliations
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting workpapers
- Process payroll and payroll tax filings
- Work with clients to obtain financial information and answer routine questions
- Organize client documentation and maintain electronic files
- Learn accounting software and tax applications used by the firm
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or expected graduation within six months)
- CPA eligibility or intention to pursue CPA license preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
