Position OverviewSunny Valley Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed or license-eligible Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position, utilizing a telehealth model, focuses on providing high-quality mental health care to a diverse client base. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, creating tailored treatment plans, and delivering effective therapy sessions across various formats.

Work EnvironmentAs a remote position, this role allows for significant flexibility while still requiring a strong commitment to patient care. The successful LPC will facilitate therapy sessions via secure videoconferencing platforms, providing a supportive space for clients to engage in their therapeutic journeys. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their biopsychosocial needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual goals.
- Deliver individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based practices appropriate for each unique case.
- Engage as the primary therapist or co-therapist in group therapy sessions, supporting psychiatric patients through facilitated discussions and structured activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients, particularly in crisis intervention scenarios.
- Uphold and promote the agency's policies and ethical standards in all aspects of your work, contributing to an environment of trust and integrity.
Our ideal candidate will work with a varied patient demographic, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of issues from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges and trauma. The LPC will utilize their expertise to foster a supportive environment that encourages patient engagement and resilience in overcoming personal struggles.
Qualifications- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, with demonstrated proficiency in various therapeutic methodologies.
- Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a wide range of clientele.
- Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing positively to patient care and outcomes.
- Proficiency in EMR software and related technologies essential for maintaining accurate patient records and communication.
- Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-focused therapy, or substance use treatment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working in primary care or integrated medical settings can enhance the effectiveness of the role.
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and innovative therapeutic approaches to remote care delivery is a plus.
The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise, with additional performance-based bonuses available.
