Project Manager

Project Manager I – Engineering HNTB is seeking a Project Manager I – Engineering to manage assigned project(s) throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery of quality work on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. Responsibilities Develop project scope and fee quotation, assist in technical proposals and contracts. Serve as primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets. Assist with client scoping and contract negotiations. Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production. Implement the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Lead development and execution of the project management plan. Supervise and mentor the team toward overall project objectives. Coordinate with managers on project staffing, recruitment, development, retention, and succession planning. Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions for business development and client relationships. Prepare proposal and presentation materials; lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic and mini‑mega projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 8 years of relevant experience. 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience. Desired Skills Experience delivering 4for4 projects (on‑time, on‑budget, quality, client satisfaction). Ability to identify and manage risk and change. Leadership of smaller project teams or task orders. Proficiency with project management tools. Technical guidance to team and task leads. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering. 10 years relevant experience. Professional Engineer (PE) certification. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
