Civil Litigation Associate (2+ years) | Chicago, IL

We are working with a highly regarded team of Chicago attorneys looking to add an associate to their growing team who can manage a caseload of liability matters from inception through resolution. The role involves representing insurers and self-insured clients in civil litigation matters, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation. The position offers direct client and carrier contact along with day-to-day case management responsibility. Ideal candidates will have: 2+ years of insurance defense or general civil litigation experience in a firm environment Strong experience with written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court or hearing appearances Experience handling civil litigation matters touching: general liability, premises liability, auto/trucking, medical malpractice, and professional liability Ability to manage a caseload independently while communicating directly with clients and carriers Admission to practice law in Illinois required The platform offers steady, substantive litigation work with mentorship from experienced attorneys and room to take on increasing case responsibility over time. Compensation is generally in the $115,000-$175,000 range DOE, plus discretionary bonus. Location: Chicago preferred, with hybrid flexibility available.
