About the Role Oak Valley Community Bank is looking for a detail-driven Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role is a solid fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and keeping things organized in a fast-paced environment. Reconcile daily bank statements to the general ledger Monitor cash balances and flag funding needs Record and maintain general ledger entries (AP, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, income/expense allocations) Prepare supporting documentation and work papers Review GL accounts and identify discrepancies Pull and format financial reportsSupport CDARS/ICS program processing Update loan rate indices and maintain internal systems Assist with required reporting (FR2900, collateral pledging, etc.) Back up accounts payable: invoice review, coding, data entry, and payments Help track fixed assets and prepaid expenses in line with GAAP Support corporate credit card reconciliation and expense reporting Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts High school diploma or GED required Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience (or equivalent mix of education and experience) Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines What Sets You Apart You take ownership and follow through You stay organized, even when things get busy You’re comfortable asking questions and digging into discrepancies You communicate clearly and work well with others You handle sensitive information with professionalism Standard office setting Combination of sitting, typing, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.)
