Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and respond to incidents with integrity and care. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $19.37 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeTue01:00 PM - 08:30 PMWed01:00 PM - 08:30 PMThur01:00 PM - 08:30 PMFri06:00 AM - 01:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel. Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and response actions to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives. Minimum Requirements Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
