12-Month Accounting Internship

Job Description LG Chem has created a 12-Month Accounting Internship position for our corporate accounting team and will support the Business Services Team for North America. This is a full-time, hourly position (40 hours per week). Incoming interns will gain real‑world experience with journal entries, month‑end close, projects or tasks related to Accounting. Qualified candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree (BS or BA) and be able to work full time Monday through Friday. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8AM–5PM, and the position is based in our Corporate office in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA. The goal of this program is to prepare future candidates for LG Chem. What You’ll Be Doing Provide Accounting service to LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas Perform all accounting jobs under team leader’s guidance and the company’s policy Monitor and provide administrative support in one or more accounting functions: journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, fixed assets and generate reporting Support reconciliation books and assist with the preparation of fixed‑asset expenditures, registration and modification, physical fixed‑asset counting, lease accounts, income and balance‑sheet statements Prepare reporting for internal/external HQ reports, NA regional office, and internal weekly & monthly reports Communicate, analyze data, and report on PowerPoint/Excel Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For Education: BS or BA required; preference in Accounting Interest in pursuing an accounting career Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Self‑starter with a desire to learn and work autonomously Experience participating in month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation Attention to detail and strong analytical skills Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) #J-18808-Ljbffr LG
