Operations Technologist

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments
• Lead teams through projects to identify and resolve safety risks in food safety and human safety
• Maintain expertise on multiple unit operations/systems; demonstrate mastery on some systems, teach others, and drive incremental value to customers
• Lead equipment sanitation activities, inspect sanitation quality, and set up complex systems
• Perform maintenance, electrical, and controls with a technical focus

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sanitation experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift consistently & repeatedly, manipulate & transport ingredients or equipment up to 55 lbs
• Comfortable working in a pilot plant or production environment
• Self-confident in autonomously operating equipment
• Able to assess and troubleshoot technical and mechanical problems
• Basic proficiency in computer skills (Office Suite and other programs)
• Strong knowledge of food safety and human safety practices
• Experience working in team environments to achieve results
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coach, train, and develop others
• Translate technical expertise into business impact
• Excellent communication skills with peers and customers
