Salarycommensuratewith experience* Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist Location: 2 Broadway, New York, NY (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months (with potential for extension) Start Date: estimated - 10/1/2026 W2 Hourly Rate: $25 - $35/hour Application Deadline: 8/18/2026 We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist who will support our NYC client. This role manages full-cycle recruitment across multiple MTA agencies, partnering with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to source, evaluate, and advance qualified candidates. The specialist will help maintain efficient, compliant hiring processes and strong candidate pipelines in a fast-paced environment. Duties Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding support. Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define job requirements, and develop effective recruitment strategies. Source and engage qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, recruitment events, and other channels. Conduct resume reviews, phone screens, and candidate evaluations to identify qualified candidates for hiring manager consideration. Coordinate and participate in interview panels while supporting a structured and positive candidate experience. Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs. Collaborate with HR partners and hiring managers during the offer process, including salary recommendations and start date coordination. Ensure recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and timely recruitment activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS). Support recruitment outreach efforts, including career fairs, networking events, and university partnerships. Generate recruitment reports and metrics to track progress and support hiring decisions. Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment requirements. Mandatory Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum 4 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience. Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple roles. Strong sourcing experience using LinkedIn and online recruiting databases. Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Desirable Qualifications Experience recruiting for technical or IT roles. Experience working in large, complex organizations. Familiarity with PeopleSoft or other HRIS platforms. Ready to make a difference?
