Wound Care Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Raleigh-Durham Greater Triangle Area or Eastern North Carolina (Wilson, Greenville, Goldsboro, Kinston)
Job Type: Full-Time | Mobile | Home-Based
Compensation Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 base salary annually
Bonus: Potential for additional earnings
We are a mobile, home-based wound care practice committed to assisting patients who encounter challenges accessing traditional clinics. Our organization collaborates with hospitals, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, and primary care providers to deliver advanced wound care directly in patients' homes and post-acute settings.
Position SummaryWe are in search of a skilled Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to deliver advanced wound care services in various patient homes and facilities across Eastern North Carolina. This position provides clinical independence, robust leadership support, and the chance to advance within a rapidly growing organization.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough wound assessments
- Create personalized treatment plans
- Manage both acute and chronic wounds
- Perform sharp and enzymatic debridement (within scope)
- Utilize skin substitutes and biologics
- Oversee NPWT (wound vacs)
- Implement compression therapy
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and cultures
- Prescribe medications and wound care supplies
- Maintain accurate medical documentation
- Collaborate with home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, and referring providers
- Educate patients and their caregivers
Required:
- Active license in North Carolina
- Board Certification
- DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
- BLS certification
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Wound care certification (CWOCN, WCC, CWON)
- Experience with skin substitutes and NPWT
- Background in home health or post-acute care
- Familiarity with Medicare documentation standards
