Oracle Database Developer

Salary: $109,000 - 149,000 per year Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience, including packages, procedures, functions, and database development
  • Senior-level developer experience, with approximately 6–10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux, system-to-system integrations, data translations, and ETL processes
  • Exposure to Oracle 19c or another current Oracle environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of development tasks
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder residing in the U.S. due to government- and military-related work
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Oracle database objects, including tables, views, procedures, functions, and packages
  • Create and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for data retrieval, processing, and reporting
  • Support ETL processes for loading, transforming, and validating data
  • Develop and maintain UNIX/Linux shell scripts for automation and batch processing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database, ETL, and data quality issues
  • Tune queries and applications for performance
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support
  • Maintain technical documentation and follow development standards
  • Enhance and maintain existing database applications and processes

We are partnering with a large global company known for paints, coatings, and related products to hire an Oracle Database Developer for our team in Cleveland, Ohio. The role is onsite five days a week and operates within a structured Agile sprint environment. Youll work with experienced developers and technical leads on enterprise database development, system integrations, and enhancements, with exposure to Oracle 19c and potential future database modernization and upgrades.
