Senior AccountantJune 2026**Reports to:**Controller**General Responsibilities**This position services the Company’s financial accounting needs. Areas of responsibility include managing the Office Manager to ensure quality work for processing Customer Billings, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Bi-Weekly Payroll. Other duties as required by the Company Controller include risk management, human resources support, and contract management. Responsibilities also include suggesting and implementing process improvements within areas assigned.**Specific Responsibilities**Customer Order Maintenance & BillingMaintain Job Order Register & establish new Job Order FilesReview new Job Contracts to establish permitted progress billings based on credit reviewSet up jobs in ComputerEase and enter job cost estimatesMaintain billing progress points and invoice customers when appropriateCopy job invoices and file in job foldersPrepare a monthly schedule of freight billed to customersPrepare Lien Releases when appropriateAccounts ReceivableAccounts Receivable posting and account maintenancePrepare and scan deposits and post cash receipts to Accounts Receivable subsidiaryMake routine collection calls on past due invoices and record efforts and communications in ComputerEase. Update and confer with Controller on past due accounts.Accounts PayableMatch packing slips and purchase orders to Accounts Payable invoicesEnter matched invoices into ComputerEaseReview Open Accounts Payable List and pay invoices as appropriate for best cash flow positionStuff, stamp, and deliver to post office the accounts payable checksPrepare ACH file documents, have reviewed and approved, enter on bank accountFile paid accounts payable invoices with check stub/ACH documentationMaintain and reconcile petty cash fundMake necessary entries into the Cash BookComplete 1099 reporting requirementsProcess PayrollCollect, validate and process weekly timecardsInteract directly with supervisors regarding any payroll discrepancies or issuesPrepare and process bi-weekly payrollPrepare and submit required federal and state payroll reportsMaintain Employee Point system. Record absences and report result to supervisorsInput job hours into ComputerEase and create weekly job reports based on hours. Input job to date hours into weekly Production ReportRisk ManagementAssist with the annual renewal of commercial insurance policiesKeep insurance broker updated on changes within the businessDistribute COI’s as neededEnsure proper accounting of prepaid insuranceHR SupportEstablish & maintain confidential personnel files & records for new and existing employeesProcess new & existing employee changes in various Company benefit programsProvide support in establishing and maintaining various Company benefit programsAssist in management of workers’ compensation insurance administrationContract ManagementMaintain copies of all contracts signed by the company officerManage the renewal of any annual contracts through appropriate notification and reviewAssist in the review of customer nondisclosure agreements to ensure Mason’s interests**Qualifications**Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting or equivalentDemonstrated strong data management skills (speed and accuracy)Strong computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with ComputerEase preferred, but not requiredAbility to interact effectively and efficiently with customers, vendors, and employeesDemonstrated experience and capability in handling confidential informationYou should be proficient in:Bachelor's DegreeGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Cost AccountingBookkeepingAccounts Payable (AP)Accounts Receivable (AR)Bank ReconciliationMachines & technologies you'll use:Accounting Software #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
