Custom Rotomolded Account Manager

Company Overview: Elkhart Plastics is one of the nation’s largest rotational molders of plastic products and has been part of the Myers Industries family since 2020. Our manufacturing facilities are located in Middlebury, Ind.; Bristol, IN.; Atlantic, IA.; Ridgefield, Wash.; and Littleton, CO., design and produce a wide range of custom products in varying shapes, lengths, and thicknesses, serving more than 30 industries. Job Description: The Account Manager will be responsible for developing new customer relations in pursuit of expanding business, focusing on custom rotomolded products. They will also be responsible for supporting new products’ development efforts and communicating with customers once production has started, to ensure that we are continually meeting their requirements. They are a liaison between the plants and customers and ensure effective flow of accurate information. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain records for sales leads and progress status of accounts. Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities. Attend sales and/or trade meetings. Build relationships and identify the prospect's need for the products or services. Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and to explain how specific products and services can meet these needs Answer customers' questions about prices, availability, and product uses Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information Achieving agreed upon sales targets Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, engineering or related field Plastics manufacturing preferred 2-3 years’ experience developing business relationships Excellent math and computer skills, especially Excel Salesforce and ERP systems Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Problem solving abilities Strong teamwork and partnership with plant and cross-functional partners Ability to build strong internal and external relationships Dependability, including ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner Experience and enthusiasm driving the entire sales cycle from identification of leads, initial contact and conversion to account management. Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires some overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work. Travel required 30%-50% Physical Requirements: Must be able to alternately stand and sit with intermediate walking through out shift as needed. Must be able to operate a computer and write legibly.
