Outpatient Medical Coder (CPC) - Surgical - Temp to Perm Opportunity - Hybrid

About the Role We are looking for an Outpatient Medical Coder (Surgical Coding) to join our Revenue Cycle Department. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity with hybrid work options across Long Island, Manhattan, Jersey, or Staten. Salary ranges from $32 to $35 per hour. Responsibilities & Expectations Translate surgical procedures into appropriate CPT/HCPCS codes, validate coding accuracy, and submit claims through our electronic health records system. Collaborate with billing staff and clinicians to obtain necessary documentation, resolve coding discrepancies, and maintain coding best practices. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience in an outpatient setting, ideally in surgery. CPC certification required. Proficient use of insurance portals and authorizations. Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
