Job description:

**This position is a 1099 Independent Contractor role - United States based ONLY.**

_Not currently contracting in: CA, DE, MA, LA, WV, WY, VT, SD, PR, HI, AK (due to state independent contractor laws)_

**Job Summary**

As an Independent Contractor with ACD Direct, you'll provide your skills and expertise to our client companies, answering inbound calls from their customers. We're looking for top-tier customer service talent.

**Qualifications**

* Minimum 3 months of customer service experience (phone/call center experience preferred)
* Moderate proficiency in computer operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
* Able to complete client-provided online certification with minimal assistance
* Pleasant, enthusiastic phone presence with good intonation, diction, and inflection
* Able to read client scripting verbatim
* Must pass a criminal background check

**Office Environment**

Workspace must be private and free of background noise. Required equipment includes a computer meeting ACD Direct/client security specs, high-speed internet, and a landline for business use. Work environments may be audited for compliance.

**Computer Requirements**

* Windows-based PC only (Mac/Apple **not** compatible; Chromebooks **not** accepted)
* Minimum 2 GB RAM
* Intel or AMD CPU, 2 GHz or equivalent
* Display resolution of 1280 x 720 (720p) or higher
* Anti-malware security software installed

**Internet Requirements**

* Minimum 10 Mbps upload / 25 Mbps download
* Cable, DSL, or FiOS only (satellite, dial-up, and Wi-Fi/wireless **not** accepted)
* Chrome is the only supported browser
