Work Environment\n

This is a remote position allowing you to creatively design your workspace while maintaining a structured work schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify specific emotional and psychological needs, leading to tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions, addressing issues such as grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

• Deliver educational workshops and seminars to families and staff, focusing on enhancing emotional well-being and quality of life for seniors.

• Provide grief and loss counseling to residents and their families, offering support during end-of-life transitions and significant losses.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations, ensuring client confidentiality and best practices in mental health care.

• Participate in regular case consultations with peers and supervisors to foster professional growth and ensure high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on geriatric patients who face numerous challenges related to aging. This may include addressing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and grief as they navigate loss and significant life changes. The role requires an understanding of age-related mental health issues, as well as the ability to develop rapport and trust with a diverse elderly population.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification is mandatory.
