Plant Operations Manager

Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a specialty chemical manufacturer in their search for an Operations Manager. The company is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee all production operations at one of their top revenue-producing facilities. The site has a history of strong performance, and they are looking for a leader that can continue to drive excellence and help strengthen teams and future leaders. Responsibilities Ensures the site complies with all U.S. and corporate regulatory requirements, including OSHA, environmental, and personnel protection standards. Oversees operations to ensure safe, on-time, in-full production that meets quality, cost, and scheduling expectations to satisfy customer and business needs. Leads and enforces all safety programs and standards to protect employees and maintain safe working conditions. Directs and coordinates site activities to meet established goals, objectives, and policies. Actively supports execution of the production plan, taking ownership of the direct labor workforce, optimizing costs, and guiding long-term labor planning, succession planning, and organizational structure. Drives Continuous Improvement across the site by applying Lean Six Sigma tools and promoting ongoing learning for both self and team. Develops team members through coaching, training, performance reviews, and improvement plans. Supports new product introductions, implementations, and evaluations. Oversees budgeting and scheduling within areas of responsibility. Reduces costs through control of overhead, inventory, cost of goods, procurement initiatives, vendor management, and automation. Maintains regular communication with all stakeholders and ensures strong coordination across shifts and departments. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry 7+ years of experience in engineering, operations, or manufacturing based roles. 4+ years of experience in a leadership position.
