Description Job Summary: The Insurance Benefits Verification Specialist plays a crucial role in the fertility practice by ensuring accurate insurance coverage for patients. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of insurance policies and procedures. Part of this role is patient facing. It will require money collection and financial conversations with the patients. Essential Job Functions Rotate weekends and holidays as necessary Booking appointments (eIVF) Updating patient demographics/Insurance Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage for fertility treatments and procedures Update patient records with insurance verification information Collecting patient out-of-pocket costs and co-payments. Communicate insurance information to patients in a clear and concise manner Answer patient questions regarding insurance coverage Stay current on changes in insurance regulations and policies that affect fertility Category Business Support Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Location Island Fertility - Fertility Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Position Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Effective Communication and Listening Skills Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and other Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Front Desk experience in Physician Practices Strong understanding of medical insurance terminology and procedures. Ability to display compassion towards patients and coworkers Strong problem resolution skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
