Cost Accountant

A growing manufacturing company in Canton, MI is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This role will support plant operations by providing financial analysis, cost accounting expertise, and business insights that drive operational performance and profitability. Responsibilities Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and month-end close activities Partner with plant leadership to provide financial guidance and operational support Assist with budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment Experience providing financial leadership and business partnership within a manufacturing plant Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing financial reporting Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial controls, and reporting requirements If you're looking to make an impact in a collaborative manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
