Accounting Specialist

LHH recruitment solutions is hiring for an accounting specialist in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. Our client is searching for an accounting specialist with a strong accounts payable and receivables background. This position is working full in office with a great client that offers excellent benefits. Key Responsibilities Record, classify, and post daily financial transactions in the accounting system. Process accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, verifying approvals, coding expenses, and preparing vendor payments. Manage accounts receivable activities, including customer billing, payment application, and follow-up on outstanding balances. Reconcile bank, credit card, general ledger, and balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documentation, and organized electronic files. Prepare routine financial reports, account schedules, aging reports, and variance analyses for management review. This position is a direct hire opportunity that can pay $55k-$60k depending on resume and experience.
