Membership Service Representative
The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is one of the largest charities in the DC area. The Y serves as an anchor in the community offering programs and services encompassing youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Position: Membership Service Representative Pay Rate: $16.50/hr
The YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase is seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Membership Service Representatives to join our team. As the first point of contact for members and guests, you'll help create a welcoming experience while supporting membership sales, program registration, and daily front desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome members, guests, and visitors with exceptional customer service.
- Answer phones and respond to member questions.
- Process memberships, renewals, cancellations, and program registrations.
- Conduct tours for prospective members.
- Manage facility access and guest passes.
- Maintain accurate membership records and perform data entry.
- Keep the front desk clean, organized, and professional.
- Promote YMCA programs, services, and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous customer service, retail, or front desk experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
