Holiday coverage needed. All staff are required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, which include Thanksgiving (11/24-11/26), Christmas (12/24-12/26), and New Year's (12/31-1/2). Travelers are first to float. RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital. The facility will assign travelers to a unit once confirmed based on the traveler’s experience. If travelers have a preferred unit, please call this out at the time of submission. Travelers may be assigned to Nebraska Medical Center’s sister campus, Bellevue Medical Center, which is 16 minutes away from the main campus.

Certs REQ: BLS (ACLS strongly preferred)

2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)

Drips are required on all floors

EPIC charting experience required

First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center)

Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.

In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some, but not all, floors.

100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY

Weekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Days: Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night.

RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.

Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2/3 major holidays - please submit this request with application

Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)

Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.

Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.

Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on the lot, but is approx. $55/month) or they can use daily rate parking ($3 to park for 20 hrs).

• Werner Progressive Care Unit (PCU - adult progressive surgical, oncology, palliative care and progressive acute care patients receiving chemotherapy)

Bellevue Medical Center Bellevue Medical Center (BMC) is part of the Nebraska Medicine health system and is 16 minutes away from Nebraska Medical Center. BMC is a community hospital committed to healing and preventive health care services that support the long-term health and well-being of the residents of Bellevue and the surrounding area. The medical center includes 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, intensive care, heart and vascular services, cancer services, ear, nose and throat services, orthopaedic services and outpatient physical and occupational therapy, a pharmacy, radiology, diagnostic and lab testing as well as 91 private inpatient suites.
