About the Role:
Better Healthcare Services LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Springfield, VA. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Support clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Assist clients with community integration, social activities, and recreational outings
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
• Respond to behavioral challenges using approved crisis intervention techniques

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related healthcare field preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays
