SDET Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior SDET Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Selenium, TestNG, API automation, database testing, and automation framework development.
The SDET Engineer will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, supporting Agile delivery teams, and ensuring high-quality software releases through functional, regression, API, and database automation testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
- Develop automation scripts using Java, Selenium, and TestNG.
- Build, customize, deploy, and manage automation testing frameworks.
- Implement automation best practices and design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM).
- Develop reusable test components and improve automation efficiency.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze failures.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of automation issues.
- Develop API automation tests using Postman and/or RestAssured.
- Implement multithreaded and parallel test execution strategies.
- Perform database test automation and validate backend data integrity.
- Create and maintain test documentation including: test plans, test strategies, test reports, and automation documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, and Agile Scrum teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work independently while managing multiple testing priorities in an enterprise environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG.
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks and testing best practices.
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of automation design patterns, especially Page Object Model (POM), data-driven testing, and keyword-driven testing.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Experience with API testing using Postman and RestAssured.
- Experience with database testing and DB automation.
- Experience with parallel and multithreaded test execution.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise Agile environment.
