2ND & 3RD SHIFT WELDING TECHNICIAN'S NEEDED - FT. WAYNE, INDIANA AREA

A Leading Automotive Supplier in Ft. Wayne, Indiana needs 2nd and 3rd Shift Welding Technician's. Prospective Candidates should be knowledgeable in MIG and Robotic Welding. These are Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Positions offering Competitive Hourly Compensation, Off Shift Premium, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays & Paid Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Focus on all aspects of MIG Welding operations in the facility

Able to teach robotic points for optimum MIG welding quality

Able to adjust weld fixtures to control product dimensions & meet customer specifications and as well as adjusting MIG weld gap as necessary

Develop & perform preventative maintenance (PM s) procedures related to weld fixtures and robotic welders

Responsible for completing and turning in all maintenance related documentation including but not limited to daily log sheets for TPM s and all required Control Plans and Downtime logs

Analyze and implement continuous improvement projects for maximum machine effectiveness

Coordinate with other resources (Supervisors/Managers) time, material and equipment required to perform necessary work as needed

Work in tandem with Supervision & Quality representatives to ensure quality specifications meet or exceed customer expectations

Must be self-driven; with minimal supervision

Have or acquire all hands tools to perform the job
Performs other functions as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Associate Degree in a technical field and/or other related formal course work or equivalent years of experience in this or similar role in a manufacturing environment

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

2 - 3 years experience with Welding Metals

MIG and Robotic Welding Expertise is Required

Excellent trouble-shooting/problem solving skills & experience
