Server/Cashier/Bartender PT (Catering) - Dual

Position Summary: Under general direction from the Restaurant Services Supervisor, responsible for obtaining guest orders, execute responsible service of alcoholic beverages, deliver food, drinks, and merchandise to guests while serving them in an efficient and pleasant manner. Accurately execute guest transactions, entering orders, tabulating bills, and receiving guest payment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Promotes positive customer relations, greets customers and creates a friendly atmosphere. Promotes and documents orders for drinks, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested by memory; takes orders from customers in a prompt and friendly manner. Inspects menus and special cards daily to insure they are presented to the guest Prepare all food and/or beverage items using prep sheets and standard ingredient recipes. Prepares and serves cocktails and other beverages accurately and without waste according to the customer’s specifications and ABC requirements. Inputs orders at the point of sale; creates checks for each customer/party/server; maintains accountability of all beverages served. Prepare and display all food and merchandise in accordance to ServeSafe, and other regulatory standards. Presents an accurate check to guest in a timely fashion; thanks patrons and invites them to return. Cleans up after customers at the bar and maintains an orderly and clean work area at all times. Maintains proper and adequate bar set up; washes glassware and utensils after each use. Serves food to customers seated at the bar as requested. Checks identification and legitimacy of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for the purchase of alcohol products. Provide safe and responsible alcohol services by determining when a customer has had too much alcohol. Ensure all displays cases and refrigerators are clean and stocked throughout shift Maintain an organized work area for convenient guest interaction and safety. Maintains inventory, supplies and prepare food based on business volumes as directed by Supervisors using par levels. Must be knowledgeable for full utilization of the Point of Sale (POS) system. Responsible for cash-handling practices adherent to Casino-wide, Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures. Counting cash, separating charge slips, and ensuring cash tips are input into tip pouches immediately. Ensure dining area tables cleaned and maintained properly throughout the shift. Clean shelves, counters and windows. Responds to customer questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Safeguards casino monies by balancing house bank at the beginning and end of each shift. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays. Properly bag or package purchases for guests. Knows proper order taking sequence and service standards. Greets and takes food and drink orders from customers. Serves the food orders in an accurate, prompt and professional manner. Remains attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding customer service standards. Memorizes menu items, recipes and daily specials in order to answer questions and make recommendation to customers. Maintains cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait station and kitchen service area; adheres to the company, state and local health board requirements. Maintain knowledge and answer guest questions regarding all food venues, beverage service, and Casino related information. Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings. Follows guidelines regarding alcohol service, safety and customer service according to established regulations policies and procedures. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. Performs other duties as required. Access to Sensitive Areas: Access to F&B storage areas. Beer, wine, and liquor storage areas. Signatory Authority: None. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required unless waived by Human Resources Management. Minimum of two (2) years working in the food and beverage and/or hospitality industry required. One (1) year of bartending work required, unless waived by hiring manager. Must obtain a ABC certificate of safe alcohol server training as required. Required to have and obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification. Excellent interpersonal communication, guest service, attention to detail and problem solving skills required. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service principles. Knowledge bartending and bar maintenance operations and customer service. Knowledge of all bar items and liquors. Knowledge of POS systems. Knowledge of basic math and arithmetic. Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages, non-alcoholic, alcoholic, wine and desserts. Knowledge of proper hand and tray service. Knowledge of menu and restaurant operations. Skill in interpersonal and customer relations. Ability to create a friendly atmosphere and demonstrate excellent customer service. Ability to operate a cash register. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels. Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods, walk and sit; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communications skills. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception , color vision, and the ability to adjust focus . Work Environment: Work is generally performed in both indoors and outdoors where employee may have frequent contact with the public and be exposed to second hand smoke, moderate/high noise levels, dirt, dust and unpleasant odors. W ork may be performed in areas which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky and dimly lit, and maneuver outside in temperatures in excess of 115° and as cold as 15° (exposed to all weather conditions).
