Driver Payroll Specialist

Paul Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for processing weekly payroll for 300+ company drivers, lease operators, and owner-operators while ensuring accurate settlements, deductions, benefits, and payroll records within McLeod. Make a direct impact by ensuring our drivers are paid accurately and on time.

Process weekly payroll for approximately 270 company drivers, lease operators, and owner-operators.

Enter new drivers into McLeod and maintain accurate payroll records.

Process payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k), garnishments, and other authorized deductions.

Transfer completed loads into driver settlements.

Review trip paperwork to ensure all required documentation has been received before settlement.

Enter hourly driver hours using reports from ADP and Samsara.

Process extra driver pay, bonuses, minimum pay guarantees, and other compensation adjustments.

Calculate and enter tolls, truck washes, scale tickets, Comchecks, fuel advances, and other settlement transactions for lease operators.

Calculate and process accessorial pay and monthly fuel incentive bonuses.

Enter repair invoices and escrow interest for lease operators.

Maintain employee benefit and 401(k) deductions within payroll.

Prepare and distribute weekly HR and payroll reports.

Research and resolve payroll discrepancies by working with drivers, Operations, HR, and Accounting.

Maintain confidentiality while ensuring payroll accuracy and timely processing.

3+ years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.

Transportation, trucking, or driver payroll experience strongly preferred.

Experience with McLeod software preferred.

Experience using ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel preferred.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
