Innovation and application expertise are the cornerstones of our identity and the fuel for our growth.The Marketing Analyst supports profitable growth and commercial effectiveness through data-driven marketing analysis. This role involves developing and maintaining tools, systems, and processes to analyze data and inform pricing, strategy, and product/service decisions. Responsibilities also include customer and product trend analysis, data standardization and pricing/margin reviews.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing and sales activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of ongoing reports.Conduct large quote pricing reviews using historical data to maximize revenue and margin.Track sales/margin activity by customer, industry segment, and product lines to identify trends and recommend action.Understand and analyze customer needs, objectives, and requirements to develop and recommend pricing strategiesResearch and collect data on prices, competitors, and market conditions to support pricing decisions.Create PowerPoint presentations to provide market and consumer insights to other marketing and sales departments.Provide data-driven insights to justify action in proposed marketing initiativesCollaborate with cross-function teams to implement marketing (and other) programs that improve the product/service offering.Any other reasonable activity as directed by the Pricing and Marketing Analytics Manager.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in marketing, quantitative discipline, or business related field2+ years of marketing and/or sales experienceStrong analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel skillsWorking knowledge with CRM programsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and writtenHigh-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team playerProven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally and vertically within companyCOMPETENCIESAccountability/OwnershipAnalytical Ability/Problem Solving/Decision MakingBusiness KnowledgeCommunication SkillsContinuous LearningCustomer ServiceInterpersonal/Relationship SkillsQualitySense of Urgency/EntrepreneurialismTime Management/Planning/OrganizingValues/Trust/IntegrityHose Master is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
