Maintenance Technician Job Summary


A growing manufacturer in Grand Rapids is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join its team. The Maintenance Technicians will maintain production equipment via mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as well as equipment installation and repair. Maintenance Technician Requirements

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment
• Follow predictive and preventive maintenance plans
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Understand and troubleshoot and/or replace or repair PLC controllers
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace and repairs part, test and adjust as needed
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
• Update employees and team on the status of requested maintenance support.

Schedule: 2nd shift, M-F, 3pm-11pm with overtime as needed, 3rd shift M-F 11pm-7am


Pay: $28-$30/hr based on experience, 2nd shift premium $0.75, 3rd shift premium $1.00

Maintenance Technician Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• 2 or more years of machine maintenance experience or plastic manufacturing experience
• Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent basis
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics and/or pneumatics, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance.
