The Business Development Representative plays a crucial role in driving growth within the general business sector by identifying and cultivating new client opportunities. This position involves managing long sales cycles through effective lead generation, client outreach, and comprehensive market research to support the sales team and enhance pipeline development.

 

Responsibilities

• Generate and qualify new leads to expand business opportunities
• Conduct client outreach to initiate and nurture relationships
• Perform market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends
• Support sales activities and manage appointments with potential clients
• Maintain CRM systems to track interactions and manage the sales pipeline
• Follow up with prospects to advance sales opportunities
• Acquire and maintain product knowledge to effectively communicate value propositions

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in business development

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce CRM
• Skilled in lead qualification and cold calling
• Strong communication and time management abilities
• Familiarity with customer relationship management and market analysis
