Position Overview: This role involves leading and coordinating unit staffing while ensuring the achievement of clinical goals and the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Oversee, guide, educate, and evaluate nursing and support personnel during assigned shifts, contributing to performance assessments. Evaluate daily patient care requirements and assign care tasks, ensuring appropriate care is provided to the patient population. Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers to guarantee optimal patient outcomes. Assess the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues impacting desired outcomes. Address patient care complaints and manage them through established protocols. May assist in hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff. Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications:Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing. Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse. Physical Demands: Regularly use speech for effective oral communication. Consistently stand and walk. Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Regularly sit, reach, and perform data entry tasks. Frequently utilize vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, as well as color differentiation. Regularly use smell to identify and recognize odors. Frequently rely on hearing to receive verbal communication and detect alarms or machinery issues. Occasionally lift or move objects weighing between 25-50 lbs. Occasionally assist in lifting or moving patients. Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and perform repetitive movements with hands and legs. Occasionally drive. Rarely crawl or run.
