Account Manager Global Marketing Communications (US - Andover)

At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.Reporting to the Account Team Lead, this role is responsible for supporting and guiding the positioning, messaging and channel strategies as well as all marketing communications assets and integrated communications plans for assigned Global Marketing franchise teams and corresponding products.This is a hands-on global position responsible for managing all project requests through the Global Marcom process. Acts as a strategic partner to Global Marketing which includes supporting with value propositions, positioning and messaging, integrated communications strategies across target audiences (HCP, Patient, General Public, others), collateral creation, approval, channel strategies, dissemination and tradeshows. Works globally, liaising with partners across Smith+Nephew to ensure understanding of key market and customer factors and aligns communications approach and asset toolbox accordingly. Assets can include digital and print brochures, technique guides or surgical techniques, advertising, video, animations, digital assets and social media, among others. Collateral creation includes copywriting of headlines and body copy as well as storyboards. Acts as brand manager, ensuring S+N appropriate branding approach.What will you be doing?Align project priorities in line with business and franchise focus, needs and deadlines. Act as the liaison between the creative department, related departments and the client with regards to providing production schedules, critical milestones and general updates. Continuously interface with the Digital Asset Management to ensure projects follow the proper workflow and approval processes. Ensure accuracy and maintenance of literature inventory including online literature ordering system. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget.Other responsibilities include:Guide/lead Strategy, Positioning and Messaging planning and execution with marketing teamsBuild global reach of the produced promotional assetsFacilitate briefings, reviews with internal staff and partnersKeep creative and production staff apprised of project priorities and due datesExpedite “rush” projects while maintaining orderly flow of daily workEnsure full approval of all collateralSupport distribution of collateral to relevant sources (integrated approach)Recommend and implement process improvementsKeeps others informed of conflicts and delaysObtain deadline extensions when necessaryEnsure timely release of all artwork with appropriate documentation to outside sourcesResponsible for guiding the positioning, messaging and channel strategies for Global Marketing franchises teams and corresponding productsProject ManagementCollateral creation including copywriting and storyboard developmentLiaise with creative teamContinuously interfaces with the Digital Asset Management (DAM) System to ensure projects follow the proper workflow and approval processes.Ensures maintenance and distribution of collateral and toolboxes on a global level with an integrated approachEnsures global approach by interacting with the regions and countriesGlobal tradeshowsWhat will you need to be successful?EducationBachelors degree in business, marketing, communication, PR, or closely related fieldExperience5+ years in marketing communications, communications, PR, marketing or closely related fieldExperience in a global organization or global exposure/experience preferredMedical device marcom and agency background a plusDigital communications experience a plusSolid understanding of integrated marketing communications as a subject field including theoretical conceptsOmnichannel marketing with a focus on digitalAdvanced project management skillsStakeholder and agency managementCopywriting and creative understandingAbility to work in a dynamic matrix organizationHigh interpersonal skills, goal oriented, hands-on, flexible, creativeProficient presentation skillsStrong Microsoft Office skillsYou. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
