Director, ED&T Business Partner, Neurovascular Division

Work Flexibility: Hybrid or OnsiteDirector, ED&T – Neurovascular (Freemond, CA, Hybrid)This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site in Freemont, CA.Position Summary:As Director, ED&T, Neurovascular, this role drives measurable business value by partnering with Neurovascular leadership to translate strategic priorities into an outcome-based digital roadmap. Acting as the division’s primary business engagement and technology partner, the Director builds alignment across the business, Stryker functions, and IT to establish clear governance, secure investment, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The Director owns performance for the division’s technology portfolio across Plan, Build, and Run, remaining accountable for end-to-end delivery of the IT strategy through disciplined execution, financial stewardship, and reliable service levels. Success is demonstrated through roadmap execution that enables commercial and operational success by improving sales effectiveness, customer engagement, service excellence, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making to support growth across global markets.Essential duties & responsibilities:Set and communicate an ambitious, clear vision for the division and business units, aligning stakeholders and teams around outcomes, priorities, and measurable value.Co-own the end-to-end divisional and business unit strategies with divisional business leads, defining Customer 1A journeys and the measurable outcomes that will define success.Prioritize the portfolio to maximize value by translating business needs into clear requirements, sequencing capabilities/features, and balancing growth, productivity, risk, and customer experience outcomes.Rationalize demand and resolve priority conflicts across business units, Stryker functions, and geographies, ensuring an integrated roadmap and portfolio plan that protects strategic focus and value delivery.Quantify and communicate business value (e.g., growth, productivity, risk reduction, customer experience) and enable teams to deliver timely outcomes against agreed targets.Act as the single point of accountability for IT to the division, ensuring delivery to plan, proactively managing risks, and resolving escalations quickly.Represent the division in enterprise governance forums and ensure adherence to global IT service and delivery processes, including operational controls, SLAs, and continuous improvement.Build trusted partnerships with business counterparts by understanding strategy, anticipating market trends, and recommending digital and data solutions that improve performance and competitiveness.Design Customer journeys and translate them into delivery backlogs by decomposing journeys into capabilities, data, and platform needs that inform the divisional technology roadmap.Partner across IT to ensure delivery, holding teams accountable through clear agreed targets, transparent reporting, and continuous delivery improvements.Own delivery of the IT strategy and performance, and lead/divisionally manage BAs and business partners to execute priorities with speed and quality.Collaborate with Application Development leadership and the broader IT organization to remove constraints, balance capacity, and reduce/optimize divisional technology debt.Lead critical programs and transformations, providing decisive governance, stakeholder management, and escalation leadership to protect delivery and value.Own funding and budget management for the division, ensuring investment governance, ROI/value realization, and alignment to business priorities.Education & special trainings:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; a degree in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems is preferred.
