Business & Sales Intern

The ZAP Agency

This is a hands-on internship designed to give you direct exposure to a business-to-business sales environment. As a Business & Sales Intern, you’ll spend time learning how companies approach new clients, structure conversations, and position services in a competitive market. This role is about building understanding and confidence, not being expected to perform at a full sales level from day one. About the Opportunity ZAP operates a face-to-face sales model focused on real conversations and measurable outcomes. This internship gives you a front-row view of how that works in practice. You’ll be supporting a campaign for a telecommunications provider that works with businesses, offering services such as mobile plans for teams, high-speed internet, and scalable communication solutions. Your role is to learn how these services are introduced, explained, and adapted to different types of businesses, rather than being responsible for closing deals independently. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll spend time alongside experienced team members, observing how business conversations are opened, how needs are identified, and how solutions are presented. You’ll sit in on real interactions with business owners and decision-makers, gaining insight into how professionals guide conversations around mobile usage, internet reliability, and service structure. As you become more comfortable, you’ll begin to take part in smaller parts of the process, helping start conversations, asking basic questions, and understanding how information is gathered before a recommendation is made. You’ll also spend time learning how the team prepares for the day, how performance is tracked, and how consistency is maintained across the group. This role is about exposure, repetition, and learning by doing, rather than immediate performance pressure. What You’ll Learn You’ll gain a clear understanding of how business-to-business sales works in real environments. This includes how to communicate professionally, how to break down services in simple terms, and how to understand what businesses actually need. You’ll also develop confidence in speaking with people, asking questions, and thinking on your feet in live situations. What We Look For This role is suited to individuals who want practical experience and are open to learning through real-world interaction. You should be comfortable stepping into a face-to-face environment, asking questions, and learning from observation and feedback. This could suit a student, graduate, or someone exploring a move into business or sales. ZAP is a performance-led environment, but this role is designed as a learning phase within that structure. You’ll be part of a team that values consistency, communication, and development through action. You’ll be supported closely while you build confidence and understanding.
