Position Overview Title: Nurse Clinical (UKHC) – Grade10 Location: Lexington, KY Salary: $28.00–$39.10 per hour Type: Full‑time staff Shift: Three 12‑hour shifts per week, including some weekends and holidays. Posting Period: Apply until 06/11/2026 Job Summary The primary responsibilities for this position consist of providing total, comprehensive, continuous and patient‑centered care which includes: assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians; and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations. This position supports collaborative efforts among the nursing staff and team of physicians to enhance patient outcomes. Requirements Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license (or temporary work permit, provisional license, or active compact state RN license in good standing). AHA Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months after employment date. Ability to lift and carry 50–100 pounds daily; stand, walk, and sit for long periods; exposure to communicable diseases and hazards acceptable. Must be able to work three 12‑hour shifts per week, some weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) + at least 1 year of RN experience. Knowledge of Maslow's Basic Human Needs, Gordon's Functional Health Patterns, Swanson's Caring model. Excellent direct patient care, critical thinking, and communication skills. Proficiency in basic computer navigation. Strong organization, prioritization, and delegation skills; ability to work both independently and in a team.
